I grew up in this hamlet of a little town called Del Dios / Lake Hodges . My family has lived there for 57 years now so I go back often to visit my mother, so on Sunday morning, 25 August got up super early. around 6 AM and took a hike to the Lake and started taking pictures of kayakers and boaters ,the lake was a bit misty. You could hear the birds chirping and just hearing nature at its best. Hope you enjoy the picture

This was shot at a winery in Temecula using my Canon 5D IV that day. I had my workhorse 70-200 f/2.8L attached. It was shot at 200mm f/8 and at ISO 1250 to get the shutter speed up around 1/2000 to counter the breeze and stop the movement of the flower.

The nebula is about 2,600 Light years away in the constellation Cygnus, visible during the summer and fall. On this dewy, fresh morning something compelled me to grab my camera and take a picture as sandhill cranes strolling gracefully through the front yard. Harriet pictured here is, as always, accompanied by Ozzie and their offspring of the season. They have been welcomed morning coffee mates for the last 12 years. The picture captures the calm presence and the dancer's restlessness of these beautiful visitors.

The Great Reno Balloon Race was this weekend. About a dozen balloon are up and aglow before dawn. This beautiful one was my favorite. Most shooting were using auto white balance, cloudy, or 5600K to keep the yellow cast from the flame. I prefer a white balance which retains the true colors of the balloons, especially for this balloon.
